About Our Garage Doors
Our wooden garage doors have proved very popular. With simple designs and a strong construction, these doors will serve you well for years to come. They can all be made to measure and we can supply the frame as well in both hardwood and softwood.
Timber garage doors are a much more traditional look than steel and give the property a more elegant, ornate feel. We have a full range of Hardwood garage doors and Softwood garage doors available and they can all be made to suit your exact gap measurements.
They are all mortised and tenon joints, polyurethane glued and nailed. They feature a heavy duty bottom ledger made from ex 7” x 1” for extra strength.
The Dorset Garage Door Design
The Dorset Garage Door is a very popular design. It’s solidly built with a 45 x 95mm frame, ex 7” x 1” bottom ledger, and beautiful glazed panels (Glass not included)
The joints are of course blind mortise and tenon, which are both glued as well as fixed from the rear. The TGV boarding is a healthy 12 x 120mm and is recessed into the frame to complete the design and help with water shed. The simple choice to recess our boards is one that separates our doors and gates from a large portion of the competition. We offer these with the option of an overlapping (rebated) centre, and can supply a suitable garage door frame, which is made from the same quality timber. All in all, our garage doors are the ones to beat. Please note you will see stainless steel nails on the face of the doors to attach the tongue and groove boards
The Norfolk Garage Door Design
The Norfolk garage door is solidly built with a 45 x 95mm frame, ex 7” x 1” bottom ledger, and beautiful double row of glazed panels (Glass not included)
